Customs clearance is normally completed at the traveller’s first point of arrival in Malaysia.

Requirements may vary depending on nationality, visa status, and length of stay. Up-to-date information is available on the official Malaysian Immigration Department website: >>
Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)
Most international travellers entering Malaysia are required to complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) prior to arrival. The online submission allows immigration authorities to process traveller information in advance and helps streamline border clearance procedures.
The MDAC should be submitted online within three (3) days before the scheduled arrival date via the official Immigration Department portal: >>
MyBorderPass
MyBorderPass is a digital border management application designed to simplify immigration processing at selected Malaysian border checkpoints. The app enables faster traveller verification through secure digital identification, reducing the need for manual passport inspections and helping shorten waiting times at immigration counters and automated gates.
